Posted by Sangat Unik

People do strange things, and sports men and women are no exception. Some athletes opt to partake in bizarre sporting activities, and football, rugby and cricket simply don’t do it for them. From chasing cheese to growing long beards, the options out there for peculiar sports are endless.
So here I have compiled a list some of the weirdest sports in the world. If you know any other please share with us in comment section.
Biggest Beard Competition
World Beard and Moustache Championships require nothing more from participants than sprouting a large quantity of facial hair. Last held in Alaska in 2007, bearded men from around the world congregated to determine the hairiest of them all. [Image Source]
Chasing Cheese

The absolute silliest and most ludicrous sport to be invented is a race against a ball of cheese. A huge ball of Gloucester cheese is rolled down a hill, and participants need to beat it to the bottom. [Image Source]
Toe Wrestling
Believe it or not, toe wrestling has now become a recognized sport. Toe wrestlers should be aware that standard cheap travel insurance policies may well not cover any foot injuries they might incur, and additional coverage might be needed. [Image Source]

This bizarre and borderline politically incorrect sport was first started in Finland. The aim of the game is for male competitors to carry a female across an obstacle course as speedily as possible [Image Source]

Bog Snorkeling
In a dense peat bog just outside Llanwrtyd in Wales, a very odd competition takes place every August Bank Holiday. Competitors are clad in flippers and a snorkel, and have to complete the race through the bog using only their flippers, and no other form of swimming. [Image Source]
Humans vs Horses

Again in Llanwrtyd in Wales, a peculiar annual event is held, this time involving horses instead of snorkels. Humans compete against horses in a tournament testing strength and agility. [Image Source]
Fist Ball
Many people are unaware that this is an actual sport. Players hit or punch the ball to the side of the court where their opponents cannot touch it, a game which is now featured in The World Games. [Image Source]

Kickball, traditionally a children’s schoolyard game, has made a comeback in the USA, among adults this time. Tournaments are being held across the country, and players take this game just as seriously as any other, travelling far and wide to compete.
